Marlin’s 1894 is among the rugged veterans that thrived. It managed to retain its second-place sales position among lever actions purchased through FFLs using the services of Gunbroker.com last year. Were it not for its younger sibling, the 1895, it would have claimed top honors.

Never owned a lever gun except for a BB gun as a kid. Never really took to them. Though I loved “The Rifleman” as a show

Oh man, I loved me some lever guns over the years. I've had at least 2 mod 94 Wins that I can remember, also 2 mod39 Marlins, a mod 336 Marlin, an old, old mod 99 Savage, and it seems like maybe one other, just can't remember for certain.

You know, they say the memory is one of the first two things to go ...... and I can't remember what the second one is !!!!

My .44 Mag 1894 and my .357 Mag 1894C are two of my favorite guns. I took for granted that the 336 would always be available, so I never got around to picking one up. I plan on being one of the first in line when the Ruger produced 336's hit the market.

I love my 1894C in 357 Magnum. It has killed more whitetail deer than any other rifle I own. Plus it is a hoot to shoot.
