Maybe another participation trophy will help

The comment about the Mexican roofers reminded me about an ex neighbor. He had his roof completely redone. It was a Mexican crew and he said they were a lot cheaper then anyone else. Well the warranty was only good for 60 or 90 days though.

Well spring of the next year came and so did the first heavy rains. I looked across the street and say him and his two sons up on his new roof , spreading tarps out and nailing then down. He was not a happy camper.

There WAS a time when “Made in the USA” was a guarantee of quality recognized throughout the world. Sadly, today, it often means quality comparable to that of a third world nation, while our college educated wunderkind can’t understand why they’re not making a quarter million a year since they spent that much of other people’s money getting their degree in Underwater Basketweaving. And they have trouble remembering to ask “you want fries with that”?
