Hi,

I've heard it said that 85% of people consider themselves above average. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Me too. Why do you think I never post target pics. ;)

seriously, i practice at the FBI data that most attacks happen with-in about 20-21 feet or 7 yards of the person.

i only have hand guns, and sometimes will practice at longer yardage/footage.

i can only practice at what the club has for distance, and right now, that is roughly 40 feet.

the public range goes to 25 yards/75 feet.

this is why i will not join a shooting competition team at my club. to "win" they need close to 100% accuracy.

i cannot provide that, as i have mentioned of my several major back operations.

it is difficult for me to stand not only straight, buy still, and shoot accurately each time.

so i only practice for the 7 yards, and hitting the "kill or wound" zones.

remembering, i only need to shoot to "stop the threat", not be a murderer.

i am not always proud of my targets, but i still post many.

case in point, i went to the club yesterday with my S&W MP 2.0 45.

took 1 box of my reloads, and 1 box of Federal

i did "ok" enough for me, average skills maybe,......... what do you think?

each time i go, i take a different gun, and it takes me a "few shots" to get myself on target.

i have no shame in my pictures, they are what they are.

and if no one likes them.??

imma gonna start posting pics of me in a mankini...........

my first run, pretty good.

my second run, not as good.

I know I'll never be a competition bullseye shooter. My main focus is self defense at 7 to 10 yards. Your targets look fine. That performance would stop a threat all day long. Please don't post your mankini.

Thank you for your indulgence,

are you sure no mankini..??......

it'll only take a few seconds......... :ROFLMAO:

Based on a study he did of self defense shooting several of his students were involved in, Tom Givens said in an article I read that for self defense, we should practice quick, safe and efficient draw, and shooting several well placed shots at 3 to 7 yards. I think you did good, Old-Me! So, I will (or would like to!) pass on the mankini also! :)
