Meet, The Beast

Sld1959

Ronin
This is the knife I judge all other for strength by. It is a British MOD survival knife. I bought it on a whim and over time grew to appreciate what it is, not blame it for what it isn't. So much so I modified it to better suit my purposes.

First I sanded down the handle scales, there was overhang everywhere including sunken rivets. Then I filed off the top tine for choking up on the blade. Then I reprofiled the entire blade to a flat grind. It's big it's heavy and damn near indestructible. Best for chopping it can clean an animal, will make a mess of it but can be done.

The companion piece stored in my vehicle with sharp edges for chopping also.

Have had mine about that long too. If you broke the first, how???? I have done practically everything to mine and it just laughs at me.
Nah, not broke, lol !
I actually lost my first wood grip one… possibly during a move ?
Immediately replaced it when I couldn’t find it, but it had the canvas/composite/ whatever scales.
Will post a pic when I get home ( if I can remember;)
