Meet the FN 510 Tactical (10mm) and FN 545 Tactical (.45 ACP)

Very nice! I know a very experienced local trainer here in Vegas and he swears by FN hand guns. Haven’t shot one myself but these two look very tempting.😊
 
I’m a little perplexed that for the 10mm they didn’t introduce it in their FNX tactical line up instead. Actually I am surprised they haven’t expanded the FNX line up at all. Not even with a FNX 9 tactical. Not that I can buy anything that holds more then 10 rounds now.

The FNX9/.40 platform is discontinued.

They only make the FNX45 now.
 
I had a FNX45 a few years ago. Very nice handgun. I Always regretted getting rid of it , but moved away from 45acp to 10 mm. Very happy to see they finally came through.
 
I've recently purchased the FN510 Tactical. So far I've only run about 600 rounds through it. I added the Holosun 507c x2 in green as an optic. I love the low profile mounting system as I can co-witness through it with the factory, suppressor ready, night sights. It is smooth, easy to shoot and recoil is very manageable. Love the 22+ round mag. Although I usually carry with the 15+.
Not as many accessories around as I'd like. Holsters, etc. I'm still looking for a good IWB in leather and a decent shoulder holster made specifically to fit the weapon. I do have kydex for an OWB paddle, w/Safariland 578. The FN IWB has great retention but as IWB is not comfortable.
I'm a full sized guy at 6'4" and 230 lbs. This weapon fits my hands really well. So far I am extremely happy that I didn't skimp on quality or performance.
Not being a competition shooter, this purchase was for personal and home defense.

Those look pretty nice. I really wish FN would get away from the hinged trigger though. I'd rather see a dingus than hinge.

Full size 10mms that are reasonably light and 'field durable' make a lot of practical sense, imo. Compact 10mms, on the other hand, don't make much sense, imo.
