The U.S. government has allocated $387 million since 2022 to care for unaccompanied migrant children at a North Carolina school campus that has yet to house a single child.

Open but nobody home. At least the gate guard has an easy job.

A blank check of hundreds of millions of USD for illegals when the facilities could be best used for homeless Vets, and/or funds sent to NGO vet orgs to buy vacant hotel facilities for them.

Well here’s some numbers from 2015 when I was with DOJ. The Federal Bureau of Prisons peaked at around 210,000 inmates within BOP facilities and another 20-30,000 ish in contract facilities (most illegal immigrants at low security contract facilities)

We had 26% of that were non US Nationals

The yearly budget for BOP was 6 billion. Of that 1 billion was on medical care due to an aging inmate population.

Obviously it has went higher now

As usual, an informative, well written article. I read Epoch Times weekly. This sheds light on yet another drain on taxpayer dollars, with a chinese connection, and two more of these unused "facilities" in Texas. How many more, with fully paid staff tending to no children, are there?
