Milling 1911 for red dot

Has anyone milled their 1911 to accept a red dot optic? If so, where are some recommended places to send the slide?

If you ask me, I think that we are going to be seeing this option as "standard" from a lot manufacturers verysoon. Springfield has this one (https://www.springfield-armory.com/products/1911-trp-10mm-rmr/#PC9610RMR18), and of course there's the Hellcat (which really set a new standard on optics on mini guns). Now the optics makers have to step up and get high quality red dots that are small, tough AND affordable....
