The success of any law depends on voluntary compliance. I recall a quote from many years ago that only 50% of the population will obey the law. The other 50% are already criminals.

The % of criminals is probably much higher these days.

To many politicians have either tax payer funded security or can afford to pay for it themselves, probably write it off their taxes as well. The average citizen doesn't can't do that.

Not surprised on the ID of the shooter, and in a state/area with DB politicians/judges that will sacrifice/throw-under-the-bus their LEOs and communities rather than control their known criminal elements, and/or appease the radical elements of their voter base.

What do you'll know about Mn. adopting the Illinois gun law-as written-did it pass completely? The shooting was down the street from my son & I, Being an LEO family, it hit us hard. I was a police medic for 11 years, first female, till late 80's when state moved rescue to Fire Dept. Last 9 yrs medic in charge for SWAT call-outs. Luckily lots of "Sit & Wait. I really can't figure out how he was armed. 2 Sundays in a row, Texas church was open again. Do any of you have "worship safety teams"?

Yup. Would rather not have an incident that needed someone else w/ your skill set try to save innocent bystanders from idiots being more ‘stupider’ like the KC parade thugs. Just cuz you’re paranoid .. I meant, hope for the best but have a trauma kit handy jic.
