A casualty of arthritis, this lovely lady served me well for over almost 30 years. Started her life as one of the very first 5.5 Ruger Redhawks and ended as a Magnaport customized 4.5 inch beauty with genuine ivory grips and gold bead express sights. Took many game animals, deer and bear with it.

Hope whoever has it loves it like I did.

it's heartbreaking, that as some of us age (just like me), we have to give up a few things. but the memories will still be there.

and yes, we can only hope and pray, whoever takes over, cares for what they have, like we did.

Pretty piece.

I switched to .41 Mag a few years ago for that reason. A lot less recoil, at least feels that way, but still plenty of thump downrange.

Parted with many of my .44’s since then, including my 8” 629…

I always liked a smooth ivory grip on a heavy magnum over a tacky rubber grip. The rubber actually pulled and yanked the grip in the hand where the ivory was smooth and comfortable.

The short ported barrel was loud though, I remember first time I touched it off at my home range into the gully my dad said it sounded like a bomb lol.
