Model 1903 Springfield

I brought a 1903 Springfield home from Vietnam and would like to set it up in an AR platform I can't find anyone who makes that upgrade for a 1903. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who makes a stock and fore-stock for it?

The closest thing you could do is find someone to custom-modify a chassis system to fit the Springfield action.

This will not be cheap.

I don't think custom-modify an existing chassis would work, but a custom new design would have to be done.

As said it would not be cheap, plus it still won't be an AR but a chassis bolt gun.

Where might I go to have the chassis built? A gunsmith or a company like the one mentioned above?

Because of the complexity in building a chassis for a 1903 I don't think you're average gunsmith can tackle that, so some company with CAD/CAM capability would be needed.

All chassis are designed and manufactured that way nowadays, and the nuances of a 1903 action would need to be analyzed and inputted in order to make a chassis out of a polymer or aluminum blank.

If you want it to use AICS mags then that will add to the complexity.
