Motorcyclist robber attacks in Brazil

Sld1959

It seems in Brazil a favored method of committing robbery is to use two man teams roving the streets on motorcycles. Which makes perfect sense, they are fast, nimble, and can get in and out of areas quickly.

Just watched a compilation of street cam video which claims to be Brazilian government sanctioned civilian attacks on roving motorcycle bandits. Most attacks were where a passersby used a vehicle to run them down, but there was also in car shooting. A bit of research shows that yes the video is real, if somewhat gruesome in nature, but is also false in that the attacks are not sactioned by the government.

Now while I have no sympathy for the bandits in question I was glad to find its not sanctioned or legal. Such things have a way of going south fast and innocents injured.

There have been videos around for years on youtube. Citizens sometimes do what they have to do to survive.

Rule #1:
Never rent a motorbike in Brazil 🤪🤣

This one is even worse, so be advised there is extreme violence. This hard to believe and I pray that our society never reaches this point.

it very well may get to that point, if the snowflakes keep defunding or "re-imaging", or abolish the police.

you might wanna see this video, it's 1000% real...the cops and even civilians are taking no prisoners down there.

Sure cuts down on jail time expense, court costs, and years of appeals on the taxpayers dime.

I think it is a result of the incompetence or inability of the government to do anything to stop it. People only gonna take so much before they start defending themselves. You know it is said here a lot, just the other day in fact, that the only way to make the streets safe is for the citizens to take them back.

And for the record, in all these videos it does seem the right people were targeted. Not saying I approve of this, but I ain't losing any sleep over it either.

Well, looks like, in those videos the bad guys lost, which I am fine with. But how do we know those are the only videos. And even if they are.

It makes me think of the old saying, it's all fun and games til someone loses an eye. Well what happens when they kill an innocent person...

Well in all these videos it's pretty obvious these guys are robbing someone. I guess I would have to see evidence of someone just minding their own business, be boppin' around on their bike and being plowed down before I got too concerned about it. It's almost like the people here who were bemoaning all the new gun owners and the fact that there wasn't some kinda law that they take a training class. Evidence of a problem is the forerunner to figuring out the solution.

The one guy was in the process of being robbed when he shot the guy. Not likely an innocent person got killed there.

And anyplace that had respect for actual laws would have that cop in prison (if not executed) for murder tut suite.

Anybody who thinks this is OK has several screws loose.

Well clearly that place has no respect for actual laws. In fact I have a friend named Ivan who was a lawyer, actually a prosecutor in Brazil. His brother was too. He was murdered. Ivan worried about his little daughter being raised in such a lawless place. He spent many years trying to immgrate ( the right way) to the US. Eventually he ended up in Canada, where he is now a janitor. He put his wife through school, she left him for some rich guy she worked for and he hasn't seen either of his kids in over a year. Plus he got some sort of disease which I can't remember now, but it made him fat and the Canadian health care system is not conducive to prompt or adequate treatment apparently.

This was a good 10 years ago he got out. So Brazil has been F'ed for a very long time.

My brother went to Brazil on business. His Brazilian counterpart told him, “do not leave the hotel without me. You will be robbed.”
Those videos are messed up. We say, “that will never happen here.” However, when laws are broken without consequences criminals are emboldened and the people will take matters into their own hands. We are already beginning to see the unravelling of the cities.
