Been watching Boardwalk Empire; I watched the first two seasons when it was first out, but just picked it up again.
One thing that’s jumped out at me is how well they are getting their firearms correct...one character’s (Jimmy) main weapon is a 1903 Colt .32; with early gutta-percha grips, even. Several S&W M&P .38’s also show up—with the proper pencil barrels and half-moon front sights...let alone Richard’s custom M1917 sniper rifle (preferred over Springfield 03’s for sniper duty at the time), in a “sporterized” configuration.
What other movies/productions, particularly period pieces, have others noticed that have shown attention to firearms detail?
(And please—no spoilers for anything!)
