Muddy River Tactical Kydex Holster with Tiger Shark Design

kenpomaniac1958

Master Class
I received 2 holsters and a magazine holder from Muddy River Tactical this morning via USPS.

I am glad my Beretta APX finally has a holster designed specifically for the firearm.
The firearm clicks into place and feels secure.
I like how the Tiger Shark design is oriented to where it looks like the APX is ready to eat something...:)
I also like the color combination between the holster and firearm.

I decided to go with a leather magazine holder instead of a kydex one just to have a little variety...:)

I got a leather inside the pants holster for my S&W M&P EZ 9 mm. It seems well made and is comfortable so far...:)

Thanks to all of you on here who gave me good advice about Muddy River Tactical...:)

I really like the look of the Tiger Shark design. It seems well made. I'll be wearing it in the next few weeks.

Very nice @kenpomaniac1958 !

I should be getting the IWB Kydex Holster I ordered from them any day now, looking forward to trying it out!
I think you'll be happy with it.
For inside the pants for small to medium handguns I like leather holsters. For outside the pants I prefer kydex.
I have kydex inside the pants for my EZ and Kel Tec PF9, but so far I'm really liking the Muddy River Tactical leather holster for my EZ...:)

Yeah, I might order a leather IWB for my Shield Plus if this Kydex one works out well for my PDP.😊

I like the leather holster for my EZ I might order one for the Beretta APX. I prefer to carry the APX over the EZ but sometimes my neck issues force me to carry something lighter like the EZ...:(
How do you like the EZ? I’ve read good things about it. I’m thinking about getting one (or an Equalizer) for my wife so I can get my Walther CCP M2 back from her.😊

I like the EZ a lot. Mine doesn't have the lever safety. I bought it used at a local pawn shop.

It's easy to rack the slide. It has a loaded chamber indicator. It fits my hand(a little under 4 inches in palm width). Magazines are easy to load(8 rounders that I keep 7 rounds in).

It's easy to conceal, though too big for pocket carry for me. Now that I have a Muddy River leather inside the pants holster, that's what I'll carry it in...:)

I was carrying the EZ in a Theis 1911 commander inside the pants hybrid holster(leather backing, kydex shell) and it fit pretty good. It feels more comfortable in the leather Muddy River Tactical holster.

The grip safety on the EZ is not as smooth as on Springfield Armory XDs I've had in the past but I'm starting to get used to it.

I don't regret buying the EZ because I believe the slide is so easy to rack I'll be able to do so when I'm in my 80's. I'm 64 now.

I don't think I'll ever sell/trade the EZ and a S&W 638 snubby because both are so handy, especially for us older folks...:)

Thanks for the info @kenpomaniac1958 , sounds like a good choice for my wife, she needs easy to rack slide and a smaller grip. I’m going to have her try one out and see what she thinks.

Appreciate the recommendation!

Very nice. You'll be happy with it I'm certain.

Got my Muddy River Tactical IWB Kydex Holster today as well.

Ordered it on 12/30/2022, so it took 4 days to receive it, price $49.95 which is VERY reasonable.

Love it! the holster fits my PDP like a glove completely covering the trigger, very comfortable to wear and conceals very well. I'll probably have to play around with the positioning since I'm used to my pancake style Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.5 but no big deal.

I also like the straps instead of clips, takes a little more to get it on and off but there's no snags on draw and it holds very securely to my belt. Thanks to everyone that recommended Muddy River, very much a winner!

Just got home from work and received my first (probably not my last) Muddy River Tactical holster. This is their leather IWB and inside is my Smith & Wesson Performance Center Shield Plus. So far I can say the craftsmanship is great and the weapon fits in the holster really well. Like a lot of us on here I have a boxful of all different holsters. Going to let the weapon sit in the holster for a few days and I'll start wearing it and advise all how it works out. Thanks to BASSBOB and others on here who recommended Muddy River. Much obliged....
