All of us who have been fortunate enough to have that kind of girl companion, knows true, unequivocal loyalty. And that's a good thing!!!!

they do find that area in our hearts and burrow in like a tick and never let go
we say their names often and all their pictures run through the screen saver
each one brought something we needed to the game of life
DOGS are the shizzznit in the life we live at our home as well.

seeing the above pics, sure does re-enforce the belief they are here for a purpose to us mere humans

I know the feeling, miss several animals every day. They live on in our memories for as long as we live, never far away.

My new best friend, he does not try to replace the others, just is himself and that's more than enough. He akways pays attention when we talk.

I miss my "BEST FRIENDS" every day. There are pictures and subtle reminders all over my home. I have seen and heard some pretty gut, heart wrenching stuff over a 33 year career so far (still going) as a LEO but nothing rips my heart out more than having to say "Goodbye" to my BEST FRIENDS...

Pit that’s a bad ass looking dog
Thank you, he's one of my top three smartest I've had in my life and I've had a lot.
I’m guessing tough on the outside marshmallow inside?
A very gentle dog in most respects, yet very critter mean, he's a groundhog killer extraordinaire, very passive with most dogs but will flip the switch if they get aggressive or bite him.
Oh and DO NOT mess with the food guy....ever! 😉

These were my work cats. The black one is Jeff, Mutt's brother. Behind him is Buddy. Between him and the cat on the edge of the photo is Princess.

They were Mutt's Colony

The cat at the Left edge of the photo is "Mom". She ate my food but she wanted nothing more to do with me.

Jeff, Buddy and Princess slept in my car every night for almost 3 years. Mutt slept there too but I brought her home at the end of the first year.

I'm only allowed to have 2 pets so no matter what I was only going to be able bring one more home.

After giving it a lot of thought I decided that I had to leave all three behind because they were a family. I couldn't bring Jeff (The father) because he watched over the kittens and if I left 2 alone and something happened to one then the last one would be alone.

Call me crazy but I believe that's what God told me. I prayed and I asked God to look after My cats and He answered me very clearly and said

"They're not your cats, they're My cats."

I can't say I never worried about Jeff, Buddy and Princess again but know they're in God's hands.
