Tomorrow my Siberian Husky will be 5 years old! She has been a constant companion to me and I can truly say she is my best friend. She has been the best dog I have ever had! Happy Birthday Maggie!

How does she do with the heat. It's been about 100 degrees the last several day in VA. My dog is going nuts because we haven't been going outside as much as he would like.
She loves the heat! If I didn't insist she come in she would be out in it all day. We go for walks early and late in the summer time. Once it cools down we get to between 5-6 miles a day. Now that my knee is feeling better it will be a joy to walk with her.

wow, she loves the heat..??

i know that people that own swimming pools, often hear "splashes" at all hours of the day or night, cuz the dogs are jumping in and having a grand ole time.

i worked with a guy, and his wife was screaming one day, "Joe, the kids, i hear splashing in the pool". (they had little ones at the time)

he runs out, thinking the worst......dang 2 dobies that they had were living the life in the pool........

kids weren't even home, they were at the grand parents, and the mother just forgot when she heard the splashing.

Sidebar: My pool supply company told me 1 dog in a swimming pool = 20 humans of dirt and dander.
We keep our dog out of the pool. Even with her outside to play, the dog hair in my filter when I do maintenance on the pool is nasty 🥴

Too hot in the hot tub...
As for swimming pools, public, resorts or friends, I’m a bit of a germaphobe but I’d rather dip in a (my) pool with a (my) dog than wade around with 20 humans. Ever see a dog raise a leg in a pool?

Love dogs, hate the fur and I can deal with the allergies.
Even the outdoor air conditioning condenser draws in a considerable amount of chipmunk, rabbit, squirrel fur over the course of a season. Something can be said too about airborne fur from neighbors pets. The stuff is all over.

i did not know that, but i'd imagine that former co-worker on mine did. (or should have)

how does one keep a dog away from the pool?

a tall fence? an "invisible fence"?
