Nashville Destinations

So, the husband and I are heading south next week. My niece is getting married in FL the weekend of the 18th. We are driving down in the Duramax, and spending the weekend there. We are planning to stop in Nashville on Monday, on the way back north, as in...we will be in Nashville on Thanksgiving day. Now, we are not touristy people by any stretch, so I thought I would throw it out there and ask if anybody on here has any suggestions, or knows of good places to visit there. We like to visit low key craft breweries, neighborhood pubs, markets, that sort of thing. We know there probably won't be a lot open at that time, but that's not a bad thing. We are gonna want to relax after all that family time anyway..

Thanks in advance!

Cant help, but safe travels and have fun !
I have heard Nashville isnt the safest place anymore, but where is ?
Thanks! True that. We will be fine just checking stuff out on our own, but you just never know who might know of a diamond in the rough hole in the wall somewhere. Right about now I could just use a rest...doesn't really matter where. We are both military and we carry, so we should be fine (we regularly survive Minneapolis :ROFLMAO:).

This is from a guy who lives there:

If you like baseball, the Nashville Sounds park is very nice and not far from downtown. They are the Brewer's AAA affiliate. https://www.milb.com/nashville

The General Jackson Showboat cruises are fun. https://generaljackson.com/

Of course, there's the country music hall of fame: https://www.countrymusichalloffame.org/ and the historic Ryman Auditorium https://www.ryman.com/

Thank you!!

Memphis ain't that bad. There are bad neighborhoods there, like everywhere else.

If you're into Country music there's plenty to do in Nashville. You could also tour the Gibson ( guitar) factory. My parents did it a couple years ago and had a blast. Of course they're both musicians though.

You could try to look up Kid Rock. I'm sure hanging with him would be a good time.

Could always go say "hi" (I would use other words) to the mayor or better yet give a hug or buy a drink to these fine gentlemen
