Was an alter boy and is currently enrolling in an institution of higher learning. Let me see, oh yeah, and does volunteer work at an orphanage or hospital. Pillar of the community, cashless bail.
 
he'll be a HERO in jail for what he did......hopefully, he will get much, much more time in jail to enjoy his Heroic feat.

A problem I saw on the Municipal court side was Judges. While in this case it looks like he made an appearance from the street however I have seen Judges refuse to allow anyone even inmates from the jail to have restraints showing or no restraints.

One Judge refused to allow belly chains on Inmates because he had antique benches in his courtroom.
And they are all front cuffed

At some point something bad will happen there

When I was in Federal Court i can tell you Judges there didn’t play and they were (folks appearing from custody anyway) were buttoned up as they should be!
 
And in most courts the judges do not allow police officers to carry their weapons (even concealed) into the courtroom. Maybe a court officer or SO deputy escorting the defendant/prisoner into court might be authorized to carry.

Airlines are just as bad. We transported a suspect who we arrested for 2 counts of arson/murder of his own small children. The airline wouldn't allow handcuffs. When the Captain learned who he was carrying he told us not only to handcuff the guy but carry our weapons onto the plane and allow no BS from him.

Rightfully so. I worked transport/I.P. Court appearance for a spell. Inmates hated to find me waiting in booking, ready to truss them properly. Nothing even remotely cruel; just very business-like, shall we say.
