i remember it was on a Tuesday, i had just woke up from getting home from the road, like at 5AM, and woke up after like a mere 3 hour sleep period, turned on the tv, to watch the Today Show, and saw the planes crash.
first one, i thought was an accident...but after i saw the second, told the wife, "we're under attack".
the next several days and nights, all the NY Bridges were heavily guarded...my bridge was the George Washington, 5 nights a week, both directions.
never saw that many guardsmen at the ready to drop someone if they had to.

This is almost the picture I use as a screen saver on this laptop. Mine has the NY skyline with the two searchlights, but I'm thinking before the new tower was built. Thought y'all might like to see it! jj
