I personally lock mine up at home but I firmly believe that's my choice. I don't go tell them how to play with sex dolls in their house, don't tell me I can't have firearms laying around like loose cigarettes! I just saw an article about this coming up and I'm gonna have to hope it doesn't gain any traction to become actual law here. Might even have to write a strongly worded email to my representative. It's supposed to "Keep Kids Safe" but I believe knowledge is power and if you put bumpers on everything, they aren't prepared for the "real world". Education and communication is the key. They just want a box that says "SAFE". Breaks my heart a lil.

As you say "Education and communication is the key." and "Keep Kids Safe." I believe in those 200%.
But, I also realize that ears perk up, including mine, that some people also use kids safety as an excuse to further promote their own anti whatever agenda, like door to door salesmen putting a foot in the door too. Like including so many safety labels there's not enough product space. As rough as rear bumper of vehicle traveling all 50 states can be completely covered up with stickers? Or, a product so screwed up by child proofing it almost needs an acrobat to use? Who was it that said "Stop the insanity?"
From history I usually see laws enacted due to some form of social degradation, where people who were taught and normally use commonsense either forgot some or it wasn't passed down to younger generations. IE: "Education and communication is the key." and "Keep Kids Safe." figure right into those thoughts. The big answer to question is why? Why is the education lacking? What can we do to fix the issue? Raises many thoughts sometimes overlooked? One is sometimes an over abundance of laws that sometimes over steps implimentors authority and commonsense?

Not just Colorado sadly.I don't mean to and hopefully won't offend anyone, but I think too many folks from California have moved to or bought property in Colorado.

The people leaving Calif in droves have essentially priced themselves out of their own paradise...
Either their company has relocated and they had to leave to keep their job, or they’re leaving due to the high cost of living. (sure, there’s some leaving for social reasons but they gotta be the minority).
Point is, they could’ve voted as a corrective measure and stopped the snowballing nuttiness. But No, they got what they asked for....and now instead of understanding the “why” of it all, they’ll take it with them.

Is partially why moved out of Florida.
As more and more people moved into state bringing their baggage and garbage with them it was less and less like the place I enjoyed for about half my life. Not so much the people, I like most, but their views and perspectives. Home I built there after sold it increased in price by 5 times what originally paid to build in 10 years. Big mouths and small minds?
