I wish Stephen A. Camp was around to see all this interest and rebirth of the Hi Power. He would have loved it, he was such a huge fan. His Hi powers and Handguns site is a real nice reference still.

He was a nice guy who I was privileged to have had several nice conversation with, he was also a Makarov fan of note.

the "Turks" do make some very good guns. i just sold off my S/A 35, and my Girsan MC Regard/ Beretta 92 FS clone, not due to any issues with the guns, but "issues" of wanting to be rid of my 9mm's altogether.

but....if i see a Girsan 35 at one of the 4 places i frequent.....i just might make up my mind, and grab one.

i'll tell you what, getting extra mags from Girsan, is 1,000 easier than getting mags from Canik.

in fact, the possibility exists that S/A mags will fit, or Browning mags.

that's what i had ordered up for my S/A 35...Browning mags, as S/A did not have them at the time.
