New Hellion purchase.

New to the forum and just purchased a Hellion. Wondering what would be a good sling to acquire, what would be a good but affordable optic to consider, and what would be a good vertical vs angled fore grip to consider also?

Optic…what do you want? Red dot? LPVO? And what’s reasonable to you?

I agree with Hans. BFG Vickers is the right one.

As for the red dot, what is your budget ? Personally I would put a Holosun 510c on it ( $300-$350), but if money was tight I wouldn't hesitate to put a Sig Romeo 5 ( $120-ish) on it either.

I don't have much experience with various VFGs, but I have a Strike Industries Link and I like it a lot.

I dont run a VFG on my Hellion.i dont like the feel with the larger Hellion front end

I have a Vortex 1x6 LVPO on my hellion over a red dot but it depends in what you are wanting to do with the rifle.

I have a Burris RT-1 on my Hellion with a Crosstac tactical ambi QD sling.

I use the RT-1 sight for shots up to 200yds on steel silhouette targets.

Not a Hellion - but on a Steyr Aug - I picked up the Holosun 510C (in green). Same dot I run on 2 Saint Edge SBRs. Quick release included is nice vs Sig Romeo 5 or Holosun 503/403 series (but those are great dots as well - especially for the money.)

I have Romeo 5s and 510Cs and 512Cs. They are all solid dots, but I like the Holosuns much better. The circle/dot reticle and QD mounts are nice.

I like A3 Tactical - they are a little pricey. I only run them on my AP5 and a short barreled AR9.

Mrgunsandgear just posted a video of him shooting a 1/2" group at 100yards with a Hellion (as well as a couple of other groups with lesser ammo that were 2-3"). A scope is certainly a viable option for an optic with that kind accuracy with the right ammo.
