Went to closing LGS and he told me he had a great deal for me. It was a Smith AR. Really wasn't looking for one but for $399 I couldn't say no. Brand new in the box. Will clean it up and post pic tomorrow. Yes this one did come with sights!

At that price it'd be pretty hard to pass up. Now you can dump all the money you saved into changing out the crap you don't like. CONGRATS!!!

Here's an experiment. Take an AR, load two 30 round Pmags with Wolf or some other commie steel ammo, mag dump the first mag, load the second mag, shoot ten rounds then set the gun down for 10 minutes and pick it up and see if it runs the other 20 rounds.

If your gun does that with no issues then I'd say you might be ok, though you will be replacing bolt parts sooner than me.

Now I have never done this with any of mine ( I don't shoot steel case), but I've watched cases get stuck in at least 3 other people's ARs ( high dollar ARs at that) when they let a round sit in the chamber long enough for it to cool down just a bit. 2 of those guys guns "Loved steel" and one of those guys was convinced if your gun wouldn't run steel it was a piece of crap. He doesn't think that now I can tell you that.
