*NEW* M1A Scout - Failing to extract

Title.
  • 2 different magazines used (20 round and 10 round) - same problem
  • Multiple ammo brands used (Federal x2 types, Winchester, Black Hills) - same problem
  • Cleaned the rifle after first noticing the issue, little to no carbon or build up (new rifle, only shot like 15 rounds total the first trip, extraction issue out of the box)

  • Tried to shoot again after cleaning - same problem
The rifle fires a round but fails to pull the spent brass out of the chamber. The rifle cycles and feeds a new round under the round still in chamber. The round in the chamber is easily removed with finger tips and is not stuck. This does NOT happen every round but almost every round (2 or 3 rounds successfully extracted in a row was my best streak)

I have Snapcaps I use for dry firing and I noticed that when I manually cycle the bolt, the extractor works perfectly on the Snapcap and seems to have a firm grip on the round.
Should I warranty? Try to resolve myself by replacing springs/extractor parts to avoid the lengthy warranty process?

Clean and lube your rifle per instructions. Check to be sure gas plug is torqued per specs.

It sounds like you are using quality ammo so I won't go there.

Check your gun mount/hold. What you describe can be due to a loose hold. These rifles need a firm hold, something to recoil against, to function properly. Bear down on your gun mount and cheek weld and see what happens or have someone else shoot it.

That's all I have
