I have been looking to buy a Springfield loaded 1911. My question is on Sportsmans site they have a PX9109LCAIGU for $130 less than a PX9109LIGU. Both are Gear up packages but why is the California compliant so much cheaper?

That is surprising and seems like a really good deal. I don't know much about Cali compliant guns, but I would assume it's just one that is on the "approved" list and is pretty much the same gun as the "regular"? It's not like an AR that has to have all those bullet buttons, silly stocks, etc. Anyone else know more about this?

California likes to limit mag capacity. That could be the Cal-compliant issue.

I think that both models would be 7 or 8 rounders, so that wouldn't be affected by it? I'm thinking the CA gun might be the one to buy?
