At one time, many moons ago, I owned a "hand me down" Rossi 38 special. Years back, they were well built machines.

I had a 2” Stainless 971. 357 mag. It looked to be a copy of a S&W 66. I thought it was every bit as good if not better than the S&W.

I have handled one of these at my shop the other day, it was the 6" model, really impressed me, these are actually made by Taurus manufacturing, but not related to the Taurus line of revolvers, this may be a future purchase, it seemed very well made, action was also very good, also they have a neat feature, a replaceable firing pin which is attached on the hammer like the old S&W revolvers were.
