Looks like they're taking a page from the Springfield Armory Saint series with accessories from other manufactures as features:

I've seen a recent video from Hop at TFB reviewing this rilfe where he stated this rifle was way over priced with a lack of features and a real gritty trigger.

Pretty much, though SA's trigger is above average, especially compared to Daniel Defense.
To be honest, I thought the factory triggers on the M&P 15s were actually less gritty than Daniel Defense.
Daniel Defense apparently expects you to replace the trigger, but at that price point it's a real turn off you have to go spend 200 more to get a good trigger.
Geissele Superduties are about the same price as Daniel Defense, and at least you get a Geissele trigger (and a Daniel Defense barrel).

I have a s&w viking tactics version and the trigger is fine! No complaints!
