Hi all, just bought my first 45acp, this 1911-A1 and I cant seem to identify what model it is. It is blued, not parkerized, It has front and rear slide serations and does not have ambidextrous safety. Its got lightened trigger and hammer...SN starts with N4xxxxx.

What did i buy ?

My guess is an earlier version of the Loaded series. A kind of basic, but non-GI, 1911 that came (and still does) with various popular upgrades & options.
The grips on this reminds me of the current Defend Your Legacy GI model. So does the A1 banner on the side. But the beavertail, skeleton hammer, and other stuff belies that.
Of course all kinds of things can be swapped out.
You can call Spgfld customer service; i bet they could shed some light. Their CS is Excellent..,(Don’t rely on their email however; it’s notorious for going nowhere)

Whatever you find out I’d say you got yourself a fine/good looking 1911 that I’m sure you’ll enjoy. Don’t be afraid to ask questions if you’re unsure about something.
