Well picked it up this afternoon. Might take it to gravel pit tomorrow.

That's one sweet gun! I almost bought the green, but there was something in the description that mentioned a thumb safety...so I bought the gray one. Then they decribed that one as having a thumb safety. By then it was too late so I just figured that, if it did have one, I'd just ignore it. Turns out the gray doesn't. If I was a betting girl, I 'd bet yours doesn't have one either...am I right? Doesn't matter...it's awesome! Enjoy the hit tomorrow! I'm taking mine to the range after work tomorrow. We can compare notes.. :)

Is there a VP9 model with manual thumb safety?

No safety but I wanted night sights so I had to go with green. I'll get used to the color. Cleaned it all up and will go early in the morning. Weather is supposed to be beautiful tomorrow.
