i suspect, that soon after posting those signs, handouts will be required to give to ALL customers buying guns, or ammo as well, up to and including a "carbon copy" to be kept on file with the gun purchase paperwork as well.

as proof the customers "got the warning"

yet, gangs will still acquire guns, ammo freely, and have no worries on getting caught or doing time.

Actually, seems to me that would amount to 'False Advertising'. Guns are not dangerous, anymore than cars are dangerous ... it's the abuse and/or misuse of guns that's dangerous. I'd love to see someone sue the official that first proposed this, along with the mayor, the governor, and any/all others involved just to show how utterly stupid some of them are!!!
 
Requiring that these signs now be hanged will surely lead the way to the land of eternal sunshine and rainbows.
Seriously, though, I definitely approve of potentially introducing the merits of #988 to a greater audience. So, I believe that's the only positive angle to this.
 
It’s just a matter of time before guns in NY and CA have this treatment on their grips.
