Newbie with a NIB

Forgive me, didn't see an introduction forum, so I will do it here. New 1911 in the house so I come here to soak up some knowledge. Long time hammer gun shooter, finally wondered into my LGS and walked out with a NIB 4.25" Prodigy. This weekend it will get stripped, cleaned and lubed. Range trip within a week. Gotta go, chicken and dumplings on the stove.
