Not to Call Someone’s Baby Ugly, but…

Kudos to Springfield Armory (SA) for their continued efforts to break down barriers to access for those of us here in California who have longed to shoot some of the weapons which many of you outside of our beloved State have enjoyed.

However, for as much as I applaud this effort, and I love me some SA, the additional “mud flap” (thumb shell) takes away the joy of firing this Hellion. Is it possible perhaps that they make one available with the dreaded Mag Lock? While it’s not the perfect solution, it is at least aesthetically pleasing.

Exactly, my AR has the dreaded Mag Lock which, with practice, adds about five (5) seconds to the reload process.

a dremel tool can make anything pleasing to function and look at .
