NRA Board of Directors Election

A friend is a 2nd amendment attorney here. He has thrown his support behind John Richardson. Below is his info.

I saw Dick Fairbirn on the list and he’s be a good one as well IMHO

What bothers me (other than a lot of folks that are still in it that sat idly by when WLP ran it in the ground. AND here we are still seeing his face in stuff. Below is a screen shot if adds at the bottom of ammo lands page. Wether it’s from ammolamd or the NRA not sure but man I can go the rest of my life and not see that car I’d be good!

I also want to know who made this list?
WLPs cronies on the board stood by and let him pull his crap all those years. They need to go. But I've never seen them identified.
And why the Hell do they need 76 board members? That really needs to change.
I agree 76 Board members is way too much. I also believe most of the “reform” folks agree. But, we have to take our organization back first in order to make changes.

I am not sure who put the list together. There was a reform movement that started back before the last Board election. It was just a few folks who believed the NRA was our best shot at protecting the 2A and were doing their best to change things. My memory being what it is, the only ones I can think of right now are Jeff Knox and Frank Tait. I suspect they had input developing the list. Amanda Suffacol is a current Board member and reform person and directed me towards the site with the list. There are a couple of sites you can check out: ElectANewNRA and NRAInDanger (sorry I don’t have links, but Google is your friend in this instance). We desperately need to get the old guard that got us into this mess off the Board.

I think you have to be a life member or an annual member with at least 5 consecutive years to vote.
Yea, that’s how is was when I voted several years ago
damn, i have only been a member since 2020, and just got my renewal a couple of weeks ago, for another 5 years.....

and i don't get any magazines.

i guess i am not able to vote..??

I believe you can still vote if you have been a member for five years or more. Call the membership number on the back of your card and request a ballot.
yeah, my first 5 year membership, was set to expire in February of'25, but i already paid and got my next 5 year renewal a couple weeks ago........so, "technically"???? i'd still be a full 5 year member..??? since no interruption in membership..???

i just had to find my login information, and i sent a message to them...then i went ahead and put in for a magazine subscription, i believe its no charge for 1..???

but i will still call later, as it may take a month or 2 to get the magazine.

thanks

There’s been a reform group for several years. Allegedly they had millions sitting in a bank account that was donated and would be handed over when WLP was gone.

Of course since WLP was removed and moves were made to assure membership of transparency and accountability I haven’t heard anything about those guys or the multi-million dollar fund they were bragging about.

If you're eligible to vote, the ballot will be in your February magazine.

Jeff Knox was making the rounds of various gun boards before the last election in which he was elected to the BOD. He seems to be spearheading this reform movement. I know he had a long thread going over on S&W Forums. I'm hoping he'll do the same for this election. I think he's the kind of guy we need.
