NRA Gun of the Week: Springfield Armory XDm Elite 4.5” OSP Threaded

Good looking gun. I considered one. I ended up with a VP9. Not really that big a 9mm fan either, but here my dumb azz is with 2 of them. :)

I am by no means implying that the XD-M Elite OSP w/ Threaded Barrel isn't a great gun, but the media focus on this version always seems to ignore how great the standard XD-M Elite is. I'm not a big accessory guy, so I purchased the standard version. The gun is fantastic. I have no problem with guys who love adding optics and silencers, but it's not my thing.

IMO the XD-M Elite is one of the best straight-out-of-the-box pistols on the market. Without adding a single accessory, it blows away almost all of it's nearest competitors in capacity, ergonomics and accuracy; often for hundreds of dollars less. In this market you almost have to take whatever you can find on the shelf, but don't hesitate to pick up a standard model if you come across one.

I have too order a barrel from bar-sto to get a threaded or ported version in my xdm 40 and 10 precision. I can also get a 357sig conversion for the 40.
