The May 2024 NSSF-adjusted National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) figure of 1,089,117 is a decrease of 7.2 percent compared to the May 2023 NSSF-adjusted NICS figure of 1,174,142.

For comparison, the unadjusted May 2024 FBI NICS figure of 2,000,505 reflects a 14.6 percent decrease from the unadjusted FBI NICS figure of 2,343,850 in May 2023.

Good Question.

My sources in the industry indicate a slow-down has been happening this year since folks are tapped out on $$, and likely have secured what they want. There's a lot of sales/rebates being announced also.

But then again those that have moved to escape the Dumpster fire states/cites are still buying, and we know the high-rollers here like @BET7 and @Belt Fed account for a lot of the purchases & NICS checks

But, a certain party still needs to arm the ~14 million illegals they've allowed in.

If folks haven't met their needs for toys & food to feed them that may still keep purchases going.

If Nov. 5th goes the Donkey way then things will likely get crazier than they are now.

My thinking too. We've seen it happen before. If the election goes the wrong way people will be stocking up before more infringements can be put in place. I've been saving up my gig money. I ain't afraid to spend it if I have to.
