I love a BAR-wouldn’t want to carry one any distance, but durn cool. .30-06 is THE rifle cartridge to me. Lots of power, lots of loads. My ancient M1 National Match is still the most accurate I’ve messed with.

To me, the draw of a BAR is the history. So while I would like an original appearing one, a modern version has no appeal to me.

My Father carried a real BAR in WWII and liked it. He said he appreciated the edge that it gave him. I would not want to lug that thing around, but he said the other guys in his squad carried magazines for him.
