Optic zeroing on the Hellion

Jadude

I’ve put a vortex strike eagle 1-6x on my Hellion. I can’t find any info on setting a zero. Any help would be greatly appreciated… jd

Depends on what you are looking for! Which reticle does it have? I'm asking because I have several lpvo SE with variations between years of make. Some do a 25 yard "0" that gives "0" at 25 and somewhere just over 200. Others do a 50 yard and gives "0" at 50 and 250-300 yards.

Looks like you might have the BDC3 reticle if it's a new 1? Usually, the center dot is at 100 yards and above the dot is for 50-7 yards depending on which part of the arch your aimpoint is at. Maybe this will help some.

Thx - Yes, it has the BDC3 reticle. I was concerned about zero because of the distance between the barrel and scope center. I tried to find info on zeroing an optic on the m16a1/2 carry handle thinking that would provide a zeroing distance. But nothing came up.

No concern. If it were 5" inches above then "0"ing close could be difficult. I'm guessing you have a 0 moa base, not any with a 20+ moa. Even a 20 moa base with high rings can still be 0'd at 100. There are a few on here that have the same gun as you with optic I believe. Maybe they'll let you know what they have done?
