Maybe you can try to outshoot me on the pistol course nowNot hard, but adds another certification. And adds more options for the Indoor range I contract for. And it looks like I am going to switch my ccw insurance from US Law Shield to USCCA.

You’re spot on about living in a time of value of certifications.Congratulations. We live in a time when certifications hold a lot of value to a lot of potential consumers. It never hurts to have a few hanging on the wall (certifications, not customers).
"...I know some people at work with office walls covered with certificates..."
We used to refer to that (excessive placards hanging) as the "I love me wall".
“... and let the record show, Your Honor and ladies & gentlemen of the jury, that defendant Bassbob was fully trained and should have known better than to endanger.....”In my career I have too many certifications to count. And they are all mandated annually or bi-annually. None of them come with cool certificates or anything. They do however come with federal liability and are for the most part a tool to shift liability for anything I do away from the company I work for and place it squarely on my shoulders.

Yeah... similar situation here. It's not a joke at all though. The vast majority of actual training is hands on. The classes that we take repeatedly are largely a joke. It's like being in a special ed class. And each one comes with you signing a piece of paper at the end confirming that you were trained on the standards. There have been cases of people being injured or killed at work and the company lawyers ( There is an entire floor of a skyscraper downtown full of company lawyers) successfully argued incompetence on the part of the injured and as proof they were properly trained they have his signature on this here piece of paper.
Well, one of the store I contract with is an indoor range. Up till Chuck and I getting the certs only one instructor was doing the classes. We have so many people begging to take these classes we needed more instructors. so in our case yes we needed more instructors. It depends on your local area, if there is a need and how many other instructors are in your area. We were shown some areas where instructors were giving classes for free and making money on the referrals. The old instructor was charging 150 a head 12 people per class. So you need to do the math if it is worth it for the 700 dollar class. USCCA in my area seems to carryway more weight with customer than the NRA classes that I am in instructor in.Debating doing the instructor course myself.
Is it worth it xdman?
Thank you for the response sir. Will definitely check and see if my area has any instructors that are active.Well, one of the store I contract with is an indoor range. My opinion USCCA is more progressive and dare I say modern compared to the NRA. The class was fun and some great training. As soon as my instructor portal becomes active I am starting the next class immediately.
