Paypal denied firearms parts purchase

I tried to purchase a case deflector for my Steyr
Preferred method for the reputable and endorsed parts manufacturer from Steyr was by Paypal.

I tried to purchase the item and Paypal froze my account. Denied the purchase.

email response from Paypal was:

“PayPal does not allow the use of its service or logo for selling firearms, certain firearm parts or ammunition”.

Goodbye PayPal.
I will never again use your service

I first noticed this when shopping online from Bass Pro. There is a Paypal button at checkout, but it is greyed out if you're buying guns or ammo. My Paypal account is now used as an absolute last resort when it is the only form of payment a seller accepts. The company doesn't just hate guns. Paypal supports almost all of the SJW causes and was actually ahead of the curve when it came to anti-conservative bias.

There is a congresswoman trying to get a bill passed that will require credit card companies to monitor gun sales and accessory sales
Virginia tried that before the big rally back in January 2020 and it got thrown out , because everybody's card would have to be monitored
The Dems are trying anything that they can

I'm pretty sure there's a thread here about a law that recently passed that prohibits financial institutions from harassing or otherwise inhibiting people because they make or sell legally available products like guns and gun parts and accessories.

That's how I noticed it. I went to checkout on some website and it said PP not available for this purchase.

I have heard of them doing this for a while now. @KillerFord1977, just curious, was this using a paypal credit card or was this using a linked bank account through paypal? Not that it would matter as they have the power to reject anything going through their transaction process. I have used "virtual" credit card numbers for years. I hope they never stop that process.

I just bought a holster from eBay, and Paypal was listed as an accepted type of payment. I'm not happy about Paypal deciding to become an official SJW company, but it actually makes me more angry that they are too lazy to do it right. They take the easy way of just banning sales from certain well-known specialty retailers, but won't even put forth the effort to develop an algorithm.

I think that's one of the things that bothers me most about SJW's. They virtue-signal just enough to annoy and inconvenience others, but are never willing to do any actual work to meet their goals.

I used PP once many years ago, don’t even remember what for. It was so bad I’ve never used them since. I still get spam/fraudulent emails from someone/somewhere claiming to be PP saying they froze an account I don’t have. Total bull 💩 @KillerFord1977 this type of situation is only going to get worse. All my firearms related purchases going forward will be cash at local gun stores. I’m done be monitored.

PayPal used to be great. eBay too. I did a lot of buying and selling, mostly musical equipment, that way. It's as safe as your bank. Then they started following eBay rules with regards to returns and stuff like that. You'd sell a guy a guitar. You disclosed everything about it and included a ton of detailed pictures and sound clips. The douche buys it, plays it for a month, decides he'd rather have a different guitar and opens up a dispute claiming the item was not as advertised. PP ALWAYS sides with the buyer. I've seen a buyer actually damage an item and successfully force the seller to take it back. I would starve to death before I would sell anything on eBay or via PayPal.
