Well, there things like cherry coke braised ribs. So it may not be completely off the wall.
At least they didn’t call it “catsup”.

It does not sound appealing to me but I’m not surprised.
I have seen folks dip hot dogs in just about everything at the ballpark. Growing up we used to pour peanuts in the bottle of Pepsi or RC cola or occasionally sop up some Dr Pepper with a pack of nabs.
IMO the “snouts and a holes “ that make up the hot dog is more disgusting.

It actually sounds very similar to the base of a number of BBQ sauces I have had over the years at various friends. Most were not bad.

Not sure I would use it as a general item but until I tried it, who knows. Most things I do try to keep an open mind about, but there are limits.

I do prefer a Pepsi chaser with Uzo to a Coke chaser when I drink it.
