Perfecting the Colt Python

i love my 6" Python, had it at the range the other day in fact. there wasn't any other available Colts a the time. my 2.5" Ruger GP 100/57 mag will serve as another ccw, if i ever get to order up a holster for it.

in fact, i wanted the 6" Ruger GP 100 as well, but all they had was the shorter one, so i grabbed that, ended up not being a wasted trip to the LGS.

I have the new production models 4 inch Python and 3 inch King Cobra. Both are good shooters. The Python is a range toy and if needed close to the night stand. The King Cobra is sometimes carried in an OWB in cold NE Pennsylvania weather where it's concealed at my 4 oclock... Just my two cents...

Been carrying the Model 60 3 inch sane way since we needed something over the tshirt.

I love revolvers. Big revolvers.

In the old ubiquitous one gun debate everyone probably has participated in my choice has always been a 3 inch 357 magnum revolver of one type or another. With it I can do anything I would need a firearm for from Ccw, protection to hunting.

Although the original’s may have come out of Hartford anything new is being made in West Hartford CT.
Full disclosure in Elmwood CT which was a small community subdivision SW of West Hartford center.
I grew up less then 2 miles from their current manufacturing location.

Great looking gun and if I was interested in a new revolver, maybe although I prefer all black. Pricy.

I'm not a fan of the deep finger grooves myself. I do have a 629 with rubber grips that have more subtle finger grooves. Seems a shame the wood grips don't fit the frame very well for a $1500 gun. I think the big change to the gun was using a coil spring instead of a flat one.
I do like that the sights can be easily changed.
