Picatinny rail for M1A 16 Socom CQB

Anyone using GG&G aftermarket picatinny rail with either red dot or scope? How does it perform?

I bought one and going to use with Eotech 512 for CQB but for longer range shooting Sig Buckmaster 3-12x44. I am not keen on rail that mount on the side of the rifle. Not for CQB rifle anyway, can get snag on things with those knobs.

Just checking to see any concern with GG&G picatinny rail.

That scope has 4.17" of Eye Relief, a cantilever mount will be required if you use the Ultimak or lighter, cooler running SHG.

I use one. Solid mount.

For a higher-power optic you'll need one with an extended field of view since the scope eyepiece can only come back as far as the receiver opening.
