Not a lot to say about this, and the whole thing was more silly than anything else. But thought I’d post it anyway.
Owners have apologized, and their “upscale breakfast place” is taking a beating in publicity (as should it’s balance sheet, I’d hope).
Bear in mind it’s also an example of the backlash against nutty liberal policies and mindsets.

Thanks for the article. Not much of a surprise from San Francisco. In fact, I'm quite shocked that they apologized! A small glimmer of hope, perhaps. Imagine, if they are "uncomfortable" with the presence of officers' weapons, how "uncomfortable" they would be during an armed robbery!

… I had no idea what that word was either. Assumed it was a typo and that “bipolar” figured in the story somehow… Sheesh - another way to categorize people, invented by people that claim to want to ‘eliminate differences’.
 
Private business. Owner has the right to refuse service to anyone. Nor can a bakery be forced to produce a Wedding cake for a gay/lez marriage ceremony. Owner owns the business; owner lives with the result of his choices. Simple. Free enterprise. Free market economy. Don't we all take/give our business where we are welcome and respected? Wrong choices, my business fails. Wise choices, the business will flourish.

They apologized because of money. That is a bunch of really bad press which would likely effect their bottom line.
 
Reminds me of what Buffalo WildWings did a few years back, really bad business practice and sends a bad message on respectful behavior towards law enforcement. They put their lives on the line but can’t eat at restaurant’s because they carry guns. Sad.

I wasn’t tracking that one. (I’ll look it up sometime).
It is kind of astonishing how people make decisions without ever considering unintended consequences. Happens rather more on the liberal side I believe - but no one is immune to it. Running on emotion instead of sensibilities.

These people live in their fantasy bubble and self feed their circular BS. I am sure they have very little experience in the real world. They actually believe everybody outside agrees with them. All of a sudden they are shocked when reality jumps up and bites them in the wallet. We have seen this stupidity from employees of restaurants a couple times a year around the country and they are invariably liberal drones. Starbucks employees are repeat offenders. (Starbucks does not drug test their employee). Just like the fools in homeowner associations who order residents to take down American flags, these people are clueless with no insight or understanding of logical consequesces for their actions. it never ends well for them.
I blame poor parenting for failure to teach their children about respect. Children who were corrected for disrespect when toddlers do not behave this way.

The officers were on-duty but plain-clothed, and employees refused to serve them for their exposed guns

yeah, i read this online a few days ago.

well........maybe if there is some sort of "disturbance", the cops may be having thier break at another place, and hell, i'd not leave my food and go find out why.

when in my youth, like back in the 1800's, i worked part time as a security guard. i patrolled a mini strip mall, that had an ice cream parlor.

stopped in one night for a cone, and got it for free, the owner asked me to sit and stay a while.....i did not understand why at the time...i was too new at being a security guard.

many months later, when i left for another job...??

i found that i gained......several pounds......and just wasn't so sure why my pants were tighter, than when i started......:LOL:
 
this is (or was) an incredibly popular donut shop in my area. you have to get there super early to get in, or stand in line for the fresh donuts, and pastries....

so much backlash for the Richard Cranium kid owner...

the father (who i had known a few years ago) lives down in Florida, and would have horse whipped him, if he were here....

the kid owner lost ALL his employee's, .....he said he let them stay home for thier safety.....due to death threats, and other forms of violence, from the military and police supporters......

he was on tv, baking the stuff, and serving all by himself.....nearly there 24 hours a day, the frigging fool....

LOST A LOT OF BUSINESS
