Let’s face it, this is not rocket science. Polymer frames are significantly cheaper to produce than steel or aluminum frames and that cost gets passed on. I think the 1st time gun buyer, even if they rent some pistols first, which from my own experience most do not, are not going to be looking at a relatively expensive, metal framed gun and by and large will not be aware of the benefits of an all metal gun until they get some range time under their belt.
