Price of a 1911

javbike

Hellcat
I paid about a little under 760. For my mil spec Springfield 1911 A1 I think Springfield has a retail value of 840. Around there anyway I check again on guns.com I though it was a misprint the the same exact gun same model number list at 1605.99 I could believe go on guns.com right now it would be that price how can they do that it only list for half amount I check all the time it’s not a misprint crazy

The extra $$ accounts for the special "silver-bullet" ammo. ;)

Price gouging
With the smug smirks and other actions/tactics have seen from some more local vendors, tend to agree that "cheaper than dirt" ethics and pricing has expanded like plague/virus at too many places online. Have also seen online prices much higher than local prices too. Figure in S & H with online sales, it's usually way overboard or higher than locally in many scenarios.

Availability may be better with online sales many times, but ammo and gun prices usually lower priced locally on most firearms and supplies when available. If am going to be taken advantage of price-wise, rather have it done if at all, from locals rather than strangers. The tax advantage from online sales isn't there anymore either. Sad thing? The online price gouging will or may be the downfall of some or much of the online sales if they're not more careful?

More positive notes? Gun racks and shelves are filing up locally. Are about bout half full now compared to 10% or less availability. Have seen pallets of AK /AR rifle ammo locally with no limit at better prices than online. More common handgun caliber 9mm/45ACP ammo is usually available locally too. Even with some more obscure things like .32 S&W, 380, 45LC and 357 Mag ammo at $1 to .50 cents or less per round too. Situation isn't fixed, but is getting better locally.

does that include state sales tax, shipping/handling fee's, and a credit card fee..????

if not, then those WILL BE extra charges on top of the "gouging" listed price.

best to just sit back and wait.

another thing to try and do (i did) is contact the seller privately, and ask what is thier bottom offer.
