PSA: GUN SAFES RECALLED

man oh, man...you BUY a safe, touted to be a SAFE, and yet it can be opened by anyone......????

seems to me, the gun(s) will be SAFER under the mattress.....no one ever looks there anymore

That would be a real bummer to send a safe in for a recall. not something that just picks up and moves easily. give me a manual combination lock on one anyday.
local hardware store..

3 feet of chain......$1.50 a foot

1 padlock........(made in the USA)....$20.00

safes..........$300 and up, and guaranteed to be easy to get into, by a 5 year old.

I have a couple biometric lock boxes that I use to secure my carry gun when grandkids are around. They come from the factory with a default setting that allows any fingerprint to open them. You have to program in your fingerprints to exclude others and that removes the factory setting. That setting must be where these Fortress safes failed.

Hayes, that's a problem, people "assume" that the factory password IS thier password, cuz too many do not read the instructions.

much like that Alexa (if i recall), it spying on people that did not change the factory passcode.

Boy @Belt Fed, you need to stop using those mechanical chainsaws and start swinging the axe for a proper workout. Then maybe, just maybe, you'd be able to lift here one of these safes. 😣😖😫🥵 😂😂
