A jury convicted Davis, 45, in January of one count of assault with intent to kill while armed, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and four counts of possession of a firearm during a crime of violence.


His lawyer, Marnitta L. King, said Davis has already informed the court he will appeal. “Mr. Davis will continue to fight to prove his innocence,” she said.

The violence erupted around 5 p.m. when Davis, who felt he had been cut off in traffic, got out of the Maserati GranTurismo and shot into the woman’s car, officials said.Security video showed the gunman get out and shoot at the woman’s car as she drove away. He then turned and pointed the weapon at people behind him before he stepped out of frame.

Davis fired 13 rounds — six at the woman’s car and seven at bystanders — the prosecutor’s office said. No one except the woman was shot. The 5-year-old was hurt by broken glass."

Memphis has always been off the hook. I was a young Airman and Reserve Patrolman for Blytheville Arkansas in the late 1980’s early 90’s and we felt with Memphis gang bangers all the time. They did not care we went to shootings more than shots fired.

Even back then long before Blackhawk down Memphis was referred to as “Mogadishu on the Mississippi”
 
I’ve said it before. Not enough chlorine in the gene pool. This moron had the long green for a Maserati and was still dumb enough to shoot at someone over a traffic issue? I’m thinking drug dealer or pimp.

We had a shooting here. First the dude was flat criminal nuts and apparently had a son that committed suicide the day before so he went on a multi county drug rage and ran over a guy on the north east side of the city. The “story” is they didn’t know each other then other accounts are there was a road rage incident so the homeowner went home. It was deemed a good shoot but looking at the homeowners mannerism I’m not so sure an ego wasn’t involve (homeowner was posting everything and doing a media tour within 24 hours not so sure I’d be boasting about that that soon.

no you see, this is what pisses me off....."we" or the LEO's have to obey the rules of engagement, and arrest them, put them on trial and hope they get more than 30 days in county lock up.

i say.......well.....i say, let there be no arresting them, and put them down on the spot.

that's the "justice" they deserve.....nothing but punks, and until we get rid of them once and for all, this BS from them will continue.

i've seen, heard too much of this BS, and it has to stop...permanently.

It's not their fault. They have a syndrome, a disorder, a sickness, maybe anger Managment "issues", didn't get enough hugs as a child, Oh the poor abused little darling :rolleyes:. I beginning to think we need to do some hanging FIRST and a fair trial after the fact. The G.D. criminals have more rights than the victims, and if they do somehow manage to end up in jail they get better treatment than our veterans or our elderly. :mad:🤬:mad:🤬:sick::poop:
