I want one. Air Force now has M4’s stored under the ejection seats of fighter aircraft. Company sells the takedown kits for them to civilians as well. Great product to make your rifle fit into a backpack.

It's kind of similar to Springfield's EVAC (which I wish they made in 300BO), except in carbine(rifle) size.
I will say for me the verdict is still out on a take apart AR Platform but as for the 300BO it would do much better in a longer barreled rifle, 16 inch barrel will give that round better accuracy and allow the use of sub sonic Ammo without a suppresser.

Unlike 5.56 the .300blk maintains most of it's power when using a shorter barrel in the 10in range.

Great addition to their survival kits, can’t help but wonder why they don’t use PDW’s they are small and don’t have to be put together. 60 second put together is a life time in a high stress situation.
That's a really good point especially if the pilot landed at night in a hot area.

In a dim light high stress hostile area where seconds count could cause confusion trying to assemble the gun.

Hopefully the pilots who will be relying on this have regular training on the assembly of the gun.

Except for sub sonic rounds, I could never get my Victor Pistol in 300BO to cycle with sub sonic Ammunition, super sonic no problem.
I have an Aero precision .300blk build that has no problem cycling anything I throw at it. I shoot it suppressed and unsuppressed. 5.56 has a problem cycling though when shooting subsonic. Unrelated to subsonic I was recently shooting cheap Tula steel .223 and it would cycle but the last round hold open didn't engage in another gun but brass works all day.

It could have been the ammo brand you were using. I typically shoot S&B subsonic and Remington green box Subsonic.

I mostly use Aero precision complete uppers and stripped lowers for builds but I do have some factory ARs as well.

I’ve tried multiple brands. It will shoot and eject but not reload. Super sonic flawless all day long any brand.
I don’t shoot steel case in any of my AR platforms.

This was the first time I've ever used steel in an AR because it was cheap and available at Bass Pro and I don't want to dip into my Brass supply for a range session and with current inventory wiped out or over priced everywhere.

There's multiple studies that show steel doesn't have any noticable effect on chambers or barrels even after thousands of rounds so that's another reason I tried it.

If you use steel I recommend putting a small piece of electrical tape over the brass deflector to limit wear on the finish. I like my guns looking new so I did this without even researching if it would damage the finish.

@Keystone19250 I use a 10in barrel on my Aero so I wonder if that makes a difference. My gun also has a flash hider not a blast diverter.

Honestly I'm just shooting from the hip on what the cycling issue could be but I'm sure someone here maybe able to chime in with something more concrete.

Disclaimer: I have only shot a few rounds of each ammo types I listed of subsonic ammo without the suppressor to gauge the sound difference but I haven't had a problem cycling when I did.

The 300BLk is designed to shoot the subs suppressed. Notice I said designed. I’d be willing to bet if you had a can on it and shot it it would function/cycle. I don’t know if you have an adjustable gas block as that is one option. Another is to check the feed ramps. Make sure they are polished and have no burrs or sharp corners.

My 300BO Victor Pistol has the 9 inch barrel and I’m fine with just using super sonic after all for me it’s just a fun gun to shoot. I will say my 5.56 Edge Pistol is a bruit and eats everything I put through it, my Edge holds the Edge over the Victor.

Yes it’s a pinned adjustable gas block and I’ve tried multiple adjustments. It’s not jamming on the feed ramps it just doesn’t cycle the BCG back far enough to strip another round out of the mag. I’ve looked into a different buffer spring but never went farther then looking.

The edge is a great looking gun and its on my short list for future purchases.
