Range Officer Compact Disassembly

I purchased a used Range Officer Compact and it didn't come with any of the items a new one came with when they were still available new. The one thing in particular I am interested in is the little device that goes on the guide rod to keep the springs compressed when taking it apart. I contacted Springfield, but they mailed the fiber optic "refills" and an l shaped tool that is not an Allen wrench. That's all. No device to keep springs compressed.
Any ideas for another way to get one?

Possible I didn't search using correct terms, but I couldn't find this subject.

There’s a hole drilled in the FLGR—that little L-shaped piece of metal fits in that when you pull back the slide/compress the spring.

At least, that’s how it worked on my RO compact.
