Seasons Greetings!
I've been a bit lax keeping up with my range reports, what with grand kids and baking cookies, Christmas shopping and present wrapping, shoveling snow and hibernating, etc. Let me post some stuff before the blizzard knocks out my power. Seriously. We're expecting a foot of snow and 50mph winds here in a couple of days. All this much weather is a bit new to me.
I made a quick trip to Fletcher Arms on 12/8/22 just to be sure I remembered how to go bang. Seems it's been a while. You guessed it, I got my favorite lane #9.
I planned to shoot only my XD9 and Garrison, just 50 rounds each.
I shot at 10 yards, basic marksmanship fundamentals. It still takes me a couple of targets to get warmed up to mediocre. This is the XD9.
Then I put some hits on a few targets with my .45. Drat. At least I got them all on the paper.
A little later in the session I put three seven round mags on the reactive target. I need to be a little more consistent just a little closer to the bullseye.
Ten days later I made a quick trek over to the newer Fletcher Arms facility. Yes, it's kinda cold around these parts.
I drove past the local shotgun club, an outdoor range, and they were doing great business. It was pretty busy here too.
I arrived a bit late in the day plus there was a class this evening. I had less than an hour of range time.
I got another of my favorite lanes, #5, and practiced with the gloved I usually wear when out in the weather. I didn't do too badly once I got warmed up. I shot only 50 rounds total from my XD9 today. I didn't have time for any other firearms.
I was shopping for new gloves today, something a little warmer but not bulky. These utility gloves are great to work with but are not really good a keeping your hands warm. My search continues.
That's it for now. I hope you all have a joyful holiday. Love, hope, peace, joy, health, and happiness to everyone.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
