Ho! Ho! Ho!
A couple days ago I thought I'd run over to the local range before the blizzard got here. I'm striving for consistency at 10 yards with all my pistols. Today I shot 50 round each from the Garrison .45, XD9, and P22. I got lane #8, my favorite!
Herter's is the Bass Pro/Cabela's house brand, relabeled WWB. The .45 was from LAX Ammunition new brass, not reman. The LAX Ammo is manufactured in-house and ships loose in a "free" ammo can. I put it in other boxes so I can keep track of how much I shoot.
That B-8 looks so lonely out there.
I started with the Garrison. This is how I started.
After I warmed up on a few targets, trying to pull up the low/left shots, I ended this box of ammo with a couple of mediocre targets.
Last ten shots on the reactive silhouette.
I kept shooting the reactive targets with my XD9, putting two magazines (20 rounds) on the first one.
Then I would either patch it or stick on a new center.
A fresh silhouette for the last magazine.
Then I patched up that target and tossed 50 rounds at it with my P22. It's fun to shoot this little rapid fire.
And that's all the fun there is until perhaps next week. I'll get down to my basement laser range and brush up on some fundamentals. That can't hurt.
Thanks for putting up with me. Have a Merry Christmas!
Thank you for your indulgence,
